The Rave

Direction
The team had one goal in mind, we wanted to create an audiovisual piece were music and animation connected through color and movement.
From that point, I developed the main idea of the short film: a rave were grandmas dominated the DJ scene.
In order to showcase the idea to the team, I made rough Concepts and researched for references which conveyed the vibe I had in mind for the film.
During the entire production, I supervised how the idea came to live and made sure everything we produced made sense within the context of the film.
The biggest challenge was mantaining a cool effortless rave vibe with a highly polished 3D production, that's why we decided to add 2D animation elements with an organic painting style.
